Participants of the training in Saldus visit our center

Today morning we had a very special visit. Saldus Children and Youth Center has organized a "Multiplayers of non-formal learning” training. In this project there are participants from many different countries: Morocco, Tunisia, Jordan, Bulgaria, Sweden and Latvia and one of the activities of their program consisted in visiting “Kuldīgas Jaunatnes Iniciatīvu Centrs” and the beautiful city of Kuldīga.

At 11 o'clock in the morning the participants arrived. We started with a presentation of the Center leaded by the director Ruta Orlova and translated by Agnese Čīče, the music teacher. Afterwards, Elza and Madara, two girls from the Youth Council, explained their task and some of the most recent activities they have organized. Finally, after some questions, our EVS volunteer Clàudia spoke a bit about her role.

Once the presentation was over and before the participants left to a tour around Kuldīga guided by Ina, they were proposed to dress up with Latvian national costumes. Everybody was excited about this suggestion and all of them went to our class “Pūra lāde” and took some pictures with the traditional clothes.
